The Arakan Army (AA) announced on December 6 that it has completely captured all military bases, including the Ann Airport, located in Ann Township, where the Western Regional Military Command is headquartered.
The captured bases in Ann Township include: the No. 946 Field Engineering Battalion, No. 371 and No. 372 Light Infantry Battalions, No. 757/2 Electrical Workshop Battalion, No. 926 Logistics and Transport Battalion, No. 9 Communication Security Battalion, No. 8 Advanced Communication Battalion, No. 10 Military Police Battalion, and No. 919 Military Engineering Battalion.
The Arakan Army (AA) stated that it has completely seized over 30 strategic positions in Ann Township, including Ann Airport, junta military headquarters, major and minor bases, battalion headquarters, camps, and other defensive locations.
The Arakan Army (AA) also announced, with video evidence, that it successfully attacked and destroyed junta reinforcements transported by helicopters and military convoys during the battles.
The Arakan Army (AA) also stated that it is continuing to attack some junta troops who are fleeing from the battles.
On November 13, the Arakan Army (AA) announced that it had captured several key military positions in Ann Township, including the No. 373 Light Infantry Battalion, No. 374 Artillery Battalion, No. 757 Electrical Workshop Battalion, No. 345 Ordnance Depot Battalion, No. 8 Combat Mobilization Training School, the No. 2/300-bedded Military Hospital, the Air Defense Unit, and the Military Security Affairs Unit.
The Arakan Army (AA) stated that it is continuing its offensive to capture the final remaining base, the Western Regional Military Command, in order to fully seize control of Ann Township.
