Maungdaw, April 29.
On the Bangladesh side of the Arakan-Bangladesh border, armed militants under the name of Rohingya are engaging in military activities, including providing military training.
Among these groups the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA), the Rohingya Solidarity Organization (RSO), and the Arakan Rohingya Army (ARA) the Rohingya Solidarity Organization (RSO) is the most actively operating group.
That group is also active along the Naf River and has been firmly establishing military training camps and bases all along the border between the two countries, from Taungpyo Letwe area to Bandula.
In those military trainings, they are practicing and using drones, RPGs, and even heavy weaponry.
In addition, the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) has also been committing cross-border terrorist acts, including abducting, killing, and extorting civilians.
Because these Rohingya-named armed terrorists frequently launch attacks against the Arakan Army (AA) as well, local residents say that the Arakan Army has not yet been able to fully control the Arakan-Bangladesh border.
It is reported that these Rohingya-named armed groups and Muslim militants who have completed military training are gathering forces numbering in the thousands, providing further military training, and are planning to launch attacks to capture Maungdaw, Buthidaung, and Rathedaung townships.
