The Arakan Army (AA) announced on December 6 that during the ongoing battle to fully capture entire Arakan, the junta forces have been using aerial and naval support, as well as unmanned suicide drones, to defend their positions.

The Arakan Army (AA) is continuing its offensive to fully capture Maungdaw, Ann, Taunggoke, and Gwa towns, while the junta forces are using a large-scale military reinforcement to defend their positions. The AA stated that during these battles, the junta forces have been using suicide drones to resist their attacks.

On November 8, during his trip to China, Myanmar’s military leader Min Aung Hlaing visited Zhongyue Aviation UAV Firefighting-Drone Co. Ltd. in Chongqing, China.

The military leader, Min Aung Hlaing, met with the owner of the advanced drone manufacturing company during his visit and also studied the usage of these advanced drones, according to reports.

Following Min Aung Hlaing’s trip to China, the junta forces have increasingly used drones in their attacks. Additionally, the junta has frequently released images and videos showcasing the use of drones in their military operations.

Despite the use of unmanned suicide drones by the junta forces in their attacks, the Arakan Army (AA) has continued its offensive, successfully carrying out strikes and gaining ground, according to their announcement.

In the decisive battles in Arakan, the Arakan Army (AA) has successfully captured several key areas, including Plaetwa, Buthidaung, Rathedaung, Ponnakyun, Kyauktaw, Mrauk U, Minbrar, Myaybon, Pauktaw, Rambre, and Thandwe towns.

In addition, the Arakan Army (AA) has captured and controlled Maungdaw, Taunggoke, and Ann towns, continuing its offensive against the remaining military positions to fully capture the entire townships. The AA is also conducting operations in Gwa Township.

The Arakan Army (AA) is on the verge of fully capturing the Arakan region, with only Sittwe, Kyaukphru, and Manaung towns remaining. The AA is expected to soon seize Maungdaw, Taunggoke, and Ann towns as it continues its offensives.
