The Rohingya community at Leda Camp-24 is mourning the heart-wrenching loss of 7-year-old Abdullah, an innocent child who was abducted and brutally murdered in a horrifying act of violence.

According to local sources, Abdullah was kidnapped last Friday around 5:00 PM. Shortly after his disappearance, the kidnappers contacted his father, demanding a ransom of 20 lakh Bangladeshi taka an impossible sum for his impoverished family to pay.

Despite the family’s desperate attempts to save their son, tragedy struck on the night of June 22. Abdullah’s lifeless body was found dumped by the roadside, leaving the entire camp in shock and sorrow. Community members believe the child was killed because he recognized his abductors, and they feared he could identify them.

“This is beyond heartbreaking,” said one resident. “He was just a child innocent and full of life. We cannot imagine the pain his family is going through.”

The news of Abdullah’s murder has spread rapidly across the camps and beyond, prompting an outpouring of grief and calls for justice. Photos of the young boy have circulated on social media, drawing tears from all who see them.

Community leaders and rights advocates are urging authorities to launch a full investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice. Many have also called for increased security in the camps to protect vulnerable children from such heinous crimes.

As the community gathers to mourn, prayers are being offered for little Abdullah’s soul and for strength for his devastated family.

May he rest in peace.
