Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh as the holy month of Ramadan begins, Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh are receiving essential food packages to support their fasting. Various humanitarian organizations and donors have stepped in to ensure that families in the refugee camps can observe Ramadan with adequate meals for Iftar and Suhoor.
One refugee, expressing his gratitude, said, “I am very happy to get this food for our Ramadan. We can eat good food during Iftar and Suhoor. Many thanks to the donors who are providing us with this food for Ramadan.”
The distribution includes staple items such as rice, lentils, cooking oil, dates, and other essentials needed for preparing traditional meals. With over a million Rohingya refugees living in overcrowded camps, such assistance is crucial in ensuring that families can observe Ramadan with dignity despite their challenging circumstances.
Aid organizations continue to call for sustained support to address the ongoing humanitarian needs of the Rohingya, particularly during religious occasions like Ramadan, when food security becomes even more critical.
