On June 7, at around 10 p.m., the Myanmar junta carried out three airstrikes on Thandwe Township, which is under the control of the Arakan Army (AA).

The airstrikes targeted Ward No. 8 in Thandwe town, specifically hitting the Kyauk Gyi Village High School IDP camp and the Pazon Pyae School IDP camp in Thandwe Township.

Thandwe Township was fully seized and brought under control by the Arakan Army (AA) on September 5 of last year.

Although the junta has announced a temporary ceasefire until the end of June, it continues to carry out airstrikes targeting civilian populations.
